Is Y2K threatening your HP Engine?

Are your customers looking forward to January 1, 2000? Probably not. Especially if they are using HP 5970,71, or 89x mass spectrometers. The software that runs these instruments is not Y2K compliant because it incorrectly records dates on acquired data. You’ve probably heard from HP that in order to become Y2K compliant, a new data system is needed to convert the old data files that you acquire and it’s going to cost in excess of $10,000. Who wants to use 2 computers to run one instrument? Who wants to learn new software? Who wants to spend that kind of money on an old system? Nobody.

Well here is the good news. TexMS Inc. has developed an easy, inexpensive solution. Its a stand-alone program called Date Changer that analyzes the incorrect date tag, and repairs it to MM/DD/YYYY format. Once files are acquired, the user simply needs to select them and click a button. Presto! The files are now Y2K compliant and can still be analyzed with their old software – G1034C. The best part is that Date Changer runs on any 95/98 system, and so does G1034C. Date Changer is validated software and a validation report is available. If you’d like more information or would like to talk about getting a corporate license to distribute Date Changer, lets get in touch.
